You and Your Meds: Are They Safe?
Last night a friend and I went to a panel discussion on prescription medication safety. The panel included Dr. David Healy, Dr. Terence Young and Sholom Glouberman.
David Healy is my research idol so I was very giddy and so excited to hear him speak in person! Also, as many of you know my experience with prescription drugs has not been the greatest. Whether that be suicidality caused my antidepressants/antipsychotics or aggression and agitation induced by birth control, attending discussions such as You and Your Meds validates my experience with prescription drugs which has been very empowering.
The panel was great and the Q&A was also amazing! I was live tweeting and here are the tweets so hopefully you can all get an idea of what was said. When my colleague puts the video online (she filmed it) I’ll share it with you also.

Thank you for providing all of the links.
Thanks! I don’t like anti-psychotic meds, personally.
I do only because they are the best sleeps I’ve ever had but other then that my experience has been horrible.
Thanks for all this info…….so worthwhile and important.
