Time To Change Campaign
The picture posted in my previous post (Some Conversations…) randomly disappeared, on my end at least, so I went searching for it again online! Turns out it’s apart of a whole campaign!
Time to Change (http://www.time-to-change.org.uk) is a UK campaign aimed at getting people talking about mental health challenging mental health stigma!
Coelacanth Diaries was commissioned to draw the very cartoon I posted yesterday and drew more that I would like to post throughout because they’re great!
There’s no need to treat us like we don’t speak the same language as you or that all we want to talk about is our illness. I’ve heard of similar things happening to individuals who are diagnosed with cancer. Suddenly no one knows how to talk anymore when they only thing that has changed about them is they have a diagnosis of an disease. They are still the same person!
Does a mental health issue affect the way you communicate, interpret situations and behave? Yes, it can but that doesn’t mean that regular conversation should be avoided.
Just, stop the ignorance. It’s very unappealing!

Little Man: Hi Zadrex, may I have the Jewel of Zorclan without physical confrontation please?
Zadrex: No
Some Aren’t
Pete: Hi Dave, how are you feeling these days?
Dave: A lot better, Pete. Thanks for asking.
